Heating Installation in Evans, CO

Heating Installation Services in Evans, CO

Ensuring your home stays comfortably warm through the chilly Colorado months is essential. A reliable heating system is more than a convenience; it's a necessity for safety and well-being. In Evans, CO, where temperatures can drop significantly, having an efficiently operating heater provides peace of mind. If your current system is struggling to keep up, requires frequent Heating Repair, or is reaching the end of its lifespan, investing in a new heating installation may be the most practical long-term solution for consistent comfort and potential energy savings.

Choosing the right heating system and installer is a significant decision. At HALO Heating and Air, we understand the unique heating needs of homes in the Evans, CO area and are dedicated to providing expert installation services that ensure your home remains warm and inviting all winter long.

Signs Your Evans Home Needs a New Heating System

Recognizing the indicators that suggest your heating system might need replacement rather than just repair is crucial. Delaying replacement can lead to higher energy bills, discomfort, and even potential safety hazards. Look out for these common signs:

  1. Age: Most furnaces and heat pumps have a lifespan of 15-20 years. If your system is older than this, it's likely operating inefficiently and may be prone to breakdowns.
  2. Frequent Repairs: If you're calling for Heating Repair service more than once or twice a season, the cumulative cost of repairs can quickly add up, potentially exceeding the cost of a new system over time.
  3. Rising Energy Bills: An aging or malfunctioning heater often consumes more energy to produce the same amount of heat, leading to noticeably higher utility costs.
  4. Uneven Heating: Are some rooms in your Evans home warm while others remain cool? This could indicate your heater is losing its ability to distribute heat effectively or that the system is improperly sized.
  5. Strange Noises or Smells: Grinding, rattling, or banging noises coming from your unit, or persistent dusty, musty, or burning smells, can be red flags that the system is failing or has internal issues.
  6. Poor Air Quality: An old system can contribute to excessive dust and decreased indoor air quality.
  7. Pilot Light Issues (for gas furnaces): A pilot light that frequently goes out or is yellow instead of blue might indicate a problem.
    1. Improved Energy Efficiency: Newer models, especially those with high AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) ratings, can significantly reduce your energy consumption, leading to lower monthly heating bills.
    2. Enhanced Comfort: A properly sized and installed system provides more consistent and evenly distributed heat throughout your home, eliminating cold spots.
    3. Increased Reliability: New systems come with warranties and are far less likely to break down unexpectedly, providing dependable warmth during the coldest months.
    4. Quieter Operation: Compared to older, noisy units, new heaters often operate much more quietly.
    5. Better Indoor Air Quality: Paired with the right filters and potentially other Indoor Air Quality solutions, a new system can help reduce dust and allergens in your home.
    6. Higher Home Value: Upgrading to a modern, efficient heating system can be an attractive feature for potential buyers if you plan to sell your home in the future.
      1. Furnaces: Gas furnaces are very common in Colorado. They heat air and distribute it through ductwork. Electric furnaces are also an option, often suitable for homes without natural gas access. We install reputable brands known for reliability, like Lennox.
      2. Heat Pumps: Heat pumps offer both heating and cooling. In winter, they extract heat from the outside air (even when it's cold) and transfer it indoors. They are highly energy-efficient, especially in moderate climates, and can be a great year-round solution. We offer comprehensive Heat Pump Installation services.
      3. Mini-Split Systems: Also known as ductless systems, Mini Split Installation is ideal for heating or cooling specific rooms or additions where extending ductwork is difficult or impractical. They offer flexible, targeted temperature control.
        1. Initial Consultation and Home Assessment: We begin with a thorough evaluation of your current heating situation, your home's size, insulation, ductwork (if applicable), and your specific comfort needs and budget. This step is crucial for accurately sizing the new system, as an improperly sized unit will not operate efficiently or effectively.
        2. System Recommendation: Based on the assessment, we recommend the heating system types and models that best fit your requirements, explaining the pros and cons of each, including energy efficiency ratings and features. We partner with trusted manufacturers like Lennox to offer reliable equipment.
        3. Detailed Estimate: You will receive a comprehensive estimate outlining the cost of the chosen system and the installation service. We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden fees. We also discuss available Financing options, promotions, rebates, and tax credits that could help reduce the overall cost. You can check our Promotions page for current offers.
        4. Scheduling the Installation: Once you approve the estimate and financing arrangements, we schedule your installation at a time convenient for you. We aim for prompt service to minimize disruption to your home comfort.
        5. The Installation Day: Our certified technicians arrive on time, prepared with the necessary equipment and your new heating system. They will carefully remove your old unit, ensuring safe and responsible disposal. The new system is then expertly installed according to manufacturer specifications and local Evans, CO building codes. This may involve connecting to existing gas lines, electrical wiring, or ductwork, or installing new components for ductless systems.
        6. System Testing and Walkthrough: After installation is complete, our technicians perform rigorous testing to ensure the system is operating correctly, safely, and efficiently. They will walk you through the new system, explaining how it works, how to use the thermostat, and answer any questions you may have.
        7. Post-Installation Support: We provide information on maintaining your new system for optimal performance and longevity. We are always available for future Heating Maintenance or service needs.
          1. Type of Heating System: The cost difference between installing a standard furnace, a heat pump, or a ductless Mini-Split system can be significant.
          2. System Size and Efficiency: Larger homes require larger, more powerful systems. Higher efficiency models often have a higher upfront cost but can save you money on energy bills over time.
          3. Installation Complexity: This includes factors like the accessibility of the installation area, whether existing ductwork needs modification or replacement, electrical work needed, or specific challenges unique to your home's structure.
          4. Additional Components: The need for a new thermostat, air filters, or other system accessories will also affect the final price.
          5. Permits and Inspections: Obtaining necessary permits and ensuring the installation passes local inspections is part of the process and cost.
          6. We offer Financing options to help manage the investment in a new heating system. Be sure to also inquire about any current Promotions or potential rebates from manufacturers or utility companies.

I called Halo when my water heater started leaking from the bottom. They responded quickly and reviewed my options for a new water heater. Steve was able to locate the particular water heater I wanted and had the old one removed and the new one Installed that day. I can't thank them enough for the prompt service. Steve, the HALO technician, was great. He did a quick view of our furnace and could see it was malfunctioning. He was very transparent, showing me his initial findings, explaining how the furnace should work and trying a step to correct the problem. When that didn't work, he inspected the wiring more closely and found a crimped wire leading into the burner assembly. He replaced the wire and the furnace resumed normal operation. Thanks much, Steve!

I’m am so impressed with the quality and depth of service that I received. The details about what was being done and how the system works were so helpful to me and the most valuable as I know how to help diagnose my own system.
They tested everything and were able to diagnose my problems and get them fixed. This was after two other companies had tried to do this and failed
I would recommend them again to everyone who wanted expertise and high level skills and knowledge who will get the problem resolved.

Steve and Chernet literally saved our kennel dogs and puppies by repairing a heating system that was not designed to function in negative temperatures. They came up with a plan to keep the temperatures warm and monitored them throughout the night!! They did that! And did it all for an extremely fair price. We have had several other HVAC companies come to our business to“fix” our system. Nobody had ever been honest with us, and kept charging more and more each visit leaving us with a system that really was not designed to work properly. We will never use another HVAC company again. Halo has our business for life!!
