Understanding Your HVAC Installation Needs

The decision to install a new HVAC system is a significant investment in your property's comfort and value. Several factors might prompt this decision:

  1. Aging Systems: Older units often lose efficiency, leading to higher energy bills and frequent breakdowns. A new installation can significantly reduce operational costs.
  2. Frequent Repairs: If your current system requires constant fixes, replacing it with a modern, reliable unit can save you money and headaches in the long run.
  3. Poor Performance: Inconsistent temperatures, inadequate heating or cooling, or excessive noise are all signs that your current HVAC system might not be meeting your needs.
  4. New Construction or Renovation: Building a new home or undertaking a major renovation provides an ideal opportunity to install a brand-new, energy-efficient HVAC system designed for your updated space.
  5. Environmental Considerations: Modern HVAC systems are designed with advanced technology that significantly reduces energy consumption and environmental impact. Upgrading can mean a smaller carbon footprint and lower utility costs.

Types of HVAC Systems for Longmont Properties

HALO Heating and Air offers installation for a wide range of HVAC systems, ensuring we can recommend and install the ideal solution for any Longmont, CO, property. Our selection considers various factors such as building size, existing ductwork, energy goals, and budget.

  1. Central Air Conditioning Systems: Ideal for whole-home cooling, these systems provide consistent temperatures throughout your property through a network of ducts. They are a popular choice for their reliability and effectiveness in warm months.
  2. Furnaces (Gas & Electric): As a primary source of heat for many Longmont homes, furnaces offer powerful and consistent warmth. We install high-efficiency gas and electric models, ensuring you stay warm during the coldest winters.
  3. Heat Pumps: These versatile systems offer both heating and cooling capabilities in one unit, making them a highly energy-efficient option. Heat pumps extract heat from the air (or ground) in winter and reverse the process in summer, providing year-round comfort with reduced energy consumption.
  4. Ductless Mini-Split Systems: Perfect for additions, remodeled spaces, or properties without existing ductwork, mini-splits offer targeted heating and cooling for individual zones. They provide excellent flexibility and energy savings by allowing you to condition only the spaces you are using.
  5. Boilers: For properties with hydronic heating systems, boiler installations provide comfortable, radiant heat. Modern boilers are highly efficient and can be an excellent choice for consistent warmth.

During your consultation, our experts will guide you through the pros and cons of each system type, helping you make an informed decision that aligns with your comfort needs and energy objectives. We believe in educating our clients about the best options for their specific property.

The HALO Heating and Air Installation Process

Our installation process is designed for efficiency, precision, and minimal disruption to your daily routine. We adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety at every step:

  • Initial Consultation and Load Calculation: We begin with a thorough assessment of your property in Longmont, CO. This includes evaluating your existing system, ductwork (if applicable), insulation, window quality, and overall energy efficiency. A crucial step is performing a detailed load calculation to determine the exact heating and cooling capacity required for your space. This prevents oversizing or undersizing, which can lead to inefficiency and premature wear.
  • System Recommendation and Customization: Based on our assessment, we present you with tailored options for HVAC systems that meet your specific needs and budget. We discuss the features, benefits, and efficiency ratings of each recommendation, answering any questions you may have.
  • Professional Installation: Our certified technicians meticulously install your new HVAC system. This involves setting up the outdoor unit, indoor air handler or furnace, connecting all electrical and refrigerant lines, and ensuring proper ductwork sealing and connection. We prioritize safety and ensure all installations comply with local building codes and manufacturer specifications.
  • System Testing and Calibration: Once the installation is complete, we rigorously test the entire system to ensure all components are functioning optimally. We calibrate thermostats, check airflow, verify refrigerant levels, and ensure the system is delivering the promised heating and cooling capacity efficiently.
  • Client Education: Before we consider the job complete, we walk you through the new system's operation, explain essential maintenance tips, and answer any remaining questions you might have about its functions and features.

Steve, the HALO technician, was great. He did a quick view of our furnace and could see it was malfunctioning. He was very transparent, showing me his initial findings, explaining how the furnace should work and trying a step to correct the problem. When that didn't work, he inspected the wiring more closely and found a crimped wire leading into the burner assembly. He replaced the wire and the furnace resumed normal operation. Thanks much, Steve!

I’m am so impressed with the quality and depth of service that I received. The details about what was being done and how the system works were so helpful to me and the most valuable as I know how to help diagnose my own system.
They tested everything and were able to diagnose my problems and get them fixed. This was after two other companies had tried to do this and failed
I would recommend them again to everyone who wanted expertise and high level skills and knowledge who will get the problem resolved.

Steve and Chernet literally saved our kennel dogs and puppies by repairing a heating system that was not designed to function in negative temperatures. They came up with a plan to keep the temperatures warm and monitored them throughout the night!! They did that! And did it all for an extremely fair price. We have had several other HVAC companies come to our business to“fix” our system. Nobody had ever been honest with us, and kept charging more and more each visit leaving us with a system that really was not designed to work properly. We will never use another HVAC company again. Halo has our business for life!!
